In 2013 we won a grant from Hawk Migration Association of North America (HMANA) to design and install an educational, interpretive panel at Rockfish Gap Hawk Watch. We were able to get it installed on site in time for the 2013 fall migration season. In August 2019, we updated our panel. This has become a very popular educational tool to introduce visitors to raptors, raptor migration and conservation, and how/why we count migrating raptors at Rockfish Gap.
